Privacy policy
Effective 13 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information TechZnap Innovative Solutions LLC ("we", "us") collects through aiwithtechznap.com, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We're the data controller for the information described here.
Short version: we collect your email, plus your name if you give it, when you join the waitlist, buy a book or contact us. We use it to deliver your books, answer you and tell you about releases. We use Google Analytics to count visits. We don't sell your information, and you can unsubscribe or ask us to delete it at any time.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist and free downloads: your email address, your first name if you provide it, the books you're interested in, and the date you signed up.
- Purchases: Stripe's Link service collects your payment and billing details at checkout. We receive your name, email, country, what you bought, the price and the date, but never your full card number.
- Messages: when you use our contact form or email us, we keep your name, email, order number and the content of your message, along with a reference number.
Information collected automatically
- Library and downloads: which books are in your library, and each download's date, time, book and IP address. Your email address is also printed in every copy you download.
- Audience information: your device's time zone, which we use to estimate your country; your device type, operating system, browser and language; and the website or link that first brought you to us, such as YouTube. We store this with your signups, downloads and messages so we can understand our readers. We don't use it to identify you and don't share it.
- Server logs: our web host records your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the time, for security and troubleshooting. We also use IP addresses briefly to limit spam on our forms.
- Analytics: Google Analytics uses cookies to record how you use the site, such as pages viewed, time on page, scrolling, links clicked, the site you came from, your device and browser type, and your approximate location based on IP address.
You don't have to give us any information, but we can't deliver books, add you to the waitlist or reply to you without an email address.
2. How we use it
- To deliver your ebooks, send updated editions and resend download links.
- To reply to your messages and handle refunds and support.
- To email you about book releases and waitlist offers you signed up for.
- To understand which books people want and how the site is used, so we can improve it.
- To prevent fraud, spam and misuse, and keep the site secure.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations and to enforce our terms.
We may combine and anonymise data, for example to count signups per book. Anonymised totals can't identify you, and we may use them for any purpose.
3. Legal bases (EEA, UK and similar laws)
- Contract: to deliver what you bought and support your order.
- Consent: for waitlist and marketing emails, and analytics cookies where the law requires consent. You can withdraw consent at any time; this doesn't affect anything we did before.
- Legitimate interests: to answer messages, keep the site secure, prevent fraud and understand how the site is used, where your rights don't override those interests.
- Legal obligation: to keep purchase records for tax and accounting.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context or targeted advertising. We share it only with:
- Stripe / Link: payments, receipts, tax, fraud prevention and payment support. Link acts as merchant of record and processes payment data under its own privacy policy.
- Our web host: stores the site, the waitlist and contact messages.
- Email providers: deliver our emails and your messages to us.
- Google: Google Analytics measures visits, and Google Fonts loads the site's typefaces, which shares your IP address with Google. See Google's privacy policy.
- Our team: staff and contractors who help run the business, under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety reasons: authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers or the public.
- Business transfers: a buyer or successor if our business or this brand is sold or reorganised, who must keep this policy's protections.
5. Cookies and analytics
When you sign in to your library, we set one essential cookie that keeps you signed in on that device for 30 days. Our own pages also set two first-party cookies: one records your device's time zone (kept up to 180 days) and one records how you first found us (kept up to 90 days). These stay on our site and aren't shared. We use Google Analytics cookies to count visits and understand which pages people use. We don't use advertising cookies or Google's advertising features. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on. The site still works without them. Stripe's checkout uses its own cookies to process payments and prevent fraud. We don't currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals, because there's no common standard for them.
6. How long we keep it
- Waitlist details: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.
- Purchase records: as long as tax law requires, usually up to 7 years.
- Contact messages: up to 3 years after your last message, then deleted.
- Analytics data: kept by Google for up to 14 months. Our own audience records are kept for up to 2 years.
7. Where it's stored
Our servers are in the United States, and our team works from Sri Lanka. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country, where privacy laws may differ. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as our providers' standard contractual clauses, to protect it.
8. Security
The site uses HTTPS. Waitlist and contact data are stored outside the public website folder, and our admin area is password-protected. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we'll tell you where the law requires it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- see the information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- object to or restrict how we use it, or withdraw consent;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To use any of these rights, send a request through our contact form or email hello@aiwithtechznap.com, choosing "Something else" as the topic. We may ask you to confirm your identity, usually by replying from the email address we hold. We reply within 30 days. You can stop marketing emails at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email.
10. California residents
If you live in California, you can ask us what personal information we've collected about you in the last 12 months, its sources, why we use it and who we share it with, and you can ask us to correct or delete it. We won't treat you differently for using these rights. The categories we collect are identifiers (name, email, IP address), commercial information (purchases), internet activity (site usage) and your messages, used and shared as described above. We don't sell or "share" personal information as California law defines those terms, and we don't use sensitive personal information. The waitlist price is a voluntary incentive for giving us your email; you can leave the waitlist at any time. You may use an authorised agent, who must provide your signed permission. We don't disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
11. Children
The site and books aren't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
12. Other websites
Our site links to YouTube, Stripe and other services we don't control. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.
13. Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes, we'll also tell people on our email list.
